1. “YouTube has no ethics, it's been created for the sole purpose of entertainment and money.” Do you agree?

Yes, i agree that YouTube is created for entertainment. YouTube is a site on the Internet that was created in February 2005 and bought over by Google in October 2006. It is a place where people could view videos, be it home-made or not, without having to download or register. Due to this site, the founders, Steve Chen and Chad Hurley had earned $1.65 billion stock from Google. Unhappiness about YouTube can be seen as issues such as Viacom-Google fight and Thailand block arised. YouTube was sued by Viacom as copyrighted videos could be found on Youtube website and was banned by Thailand as insulting videos of the king was uploaded on YouTube. Since YouTube do not really care what video is being uploaded on its website, it thus can be seen that YouTube has no ethics and been created for the sole purpose of entertainment.

However, on the other hand, i do not agree that YouTube is created for money. If it had been created for money, registration and monthly fees will be implemented in order to surf the website and the website will also be full of compulsory to watch and pop-out advertisements which will allow YouTube to earn profits. Nevertheless, these are not done and this thus show that YouTube is not created for the sole purpose of money.

Sorry, I deleted the previous comment as I sort of changed my mind.

Anyway, this is my new comment.

I feel that actually there isn't any purpose for the creation at all (other than money). The creators did not specify all users to upload entertaining clips, but it is actually the users themselves that determine what kind of clips to upload. If the clips are entertaining, then it is entertainment. Therefore I feel that the creators only want to let the people have a free platform to publish whatever they like. They are only interested in the result, and that is the profit, as seen from the large amount of money they obtained for selling YouTube to Google.

P.S Pls feel free to rebutt. :)
